Deep within the shadow realm, mayari. is born. Serving as the dark side of artemis orion, mayari. reimagines dance music through the lens of gritty-euphoric textures, post-futuristic atmospheres, and surreal soundscapes. The Los Angeles-based artist breathes life into her compositions by exploring the expansive depths of the underground, using her music as a tool to bring light into the world around us.
Her producer sound takes form of many genres from breaky electronica to dark industrial dance. In early 2022, mayari. released her remix of Kerala’s “Escapism”. It received attention from thissongissick, fuxwithit, and Stereofox, being described as “a breath of fresh air” and “bicep's dark energy meets the hopefulness of Bonobo”. The track was also featured on playlists such as B&L Fresh Batch and Stereofox Radar. mayari. also released a remix of Slow Magic’s “Avoiding Pain” and released “colorful nightmares EP” on Anjunadeep Explorations in collaboration with her main project artemis orion, resulting in a sound that is the Venn-diagram overlap of both worlds. The mayari. vision is in works, aiming to serve as a parallel universe to the AO world, building upon the concept of “CLUB DREAM”.

mayari’s DJ sets are fluid & limitless, spanning from emotional, atmospheric electronica to bass house and melodic dubstep. She released her debut mix with Sister Collective and appeared as a guest DJ on Femme House Friday’s Twitch raid livestream in 2020.
